I don't know why I do this to myself. I take too long reading emails and writing President Greer that I run out of time to write home! BUT I will type what I can! First of all, I hope everyone had a happy St. Pattys Day. Second, happy late b-day to my darling nephew Holland and happy early b-day to Sara! Happy Ordination to Elder, Jakob. I was thinking about the Family almost all day on Sunday!
Saturday was GREAT here in WA! I had my first baptism. Lino Flores. He has been taking the lessons for almost 11 years and finally decided it was time. It was great except for the fact that he had to be dunked twice because the brother baptizing him messed up the words the first time. We asked the witnesses to make sure it was ok, they said it was, so we drained the font and finished everything. Then the Elders called the Zone Leaders and President to see if it was ok, and they said NO its needs to be done again. So we refilled the font, (it was COLD) and he was dunked again. This time the right way. He is a pretty cool dude, so he wasn't upset to do it again. He is a strong man with a great testimony and he will be a great example to his family.
Anyway, we walked a lot lately so I got my first couple of blisters, woohoo. lol And we had a really nice sunny day so we did our weekly planning outside in the sunshine, it was great! We are teaching a lot of elderly widows in our ward. They are sick and so they don't come to church very often. We visit them and they are so excited! I love them all! I love everyone here. Even the people that we tract into that slam the door in our faces. They are usually nicer to sisters than they are to elders though. We saw an old lady who had fallen behind her car and we pulled over really fast to go and help her up and into her house. She is lucky that she didn't break her hip. We actually found out that she lived in SLC a long time ago and they ( her and her husband) invited us back to visit again. I am excited to get to know them more. I am scrambling now, ahh...
The Walla Walla 1st Ward did a production of the Ten Virgins and it was good but not as good as the ones back home! So good job everyone that has participated in it before.
I have to get going. I will make sure to write more next week! I love you and I love getting letters! :) Have a wonderful day! Read the Book of Mormon daily, you might be surprised with how is changes your life!
