The Work Continues

HEY OKLAHOMA! And other places! The work is grand here in the big town of Walla Walla! We have quiet a few investigators who are slowly but surely working their way to following Chirst's example. We have a baptism this Saturday for a guy that has been talking to the missionaries for about 11 years and he is finally ready. It is very exciting! We also found 4 families that we are teaching by tracting! Amazing!

Anyway, funny story, We went outside Saturday morning at 6:30 am to excersise for our required amount of time everyday and as I was about to go back in to do some more stuff inside, I looked at Sis Chatwin and said, "Did you bring the keys outside?" She had gone outside first and then I did and we left the door open because it locks when you close it. She had gone back in to grab her jump rope and then shut the door behind her. WE WERE LOCKED OUT. There was no way in because all of our windows have locks on them on the inside. We tried all of them with no luck. We had no phone and no keys, in our work out clothes, all sweaty and looking wonderful. =) We knocked on our neighbors door to see if he could help and he couldn't, so we walked 2 miles to get to the senior missionary couples home. (the Christensen's) I love them! and they called our property managers and then finally 2 hours later, at 9:30 AM we got back into our appartment. It was CRAZY! The guy charged us $50 bucks. That was an expensive learning experience!

BUT I would like to leave you with something to think about, ( Sorry this email is so short, my computer is soooo annoyingly slow) Anyway, here is my analogy, If we need keys to get in to our homes and cars and other things, why would we not need keys to get into Heaven also. Heavenly Father has given us those keys. We have the Priesthood power, and with it, the keys to the Kingdom of God. Never forget why we want those keys, its not fun being locked out of your house. Hope you enjoyed that, use it how you will.

We also did exchanges this week, I got to go to West Richland and serve with Sister Brown ( a for real cowgirl, her family owns a ranch) for the day and then switch back at the sister conferance the next day. The sister conferance was amazing, we have 24 sisters in the mission and they were ALL there! I will send you picures next week. Exhanges are fun, but I know with all my heart, might, mind, and soul that Sister Chatwin was meant to be my trainer and that walla walla was meant to be my first area to serve in.

I am so grateful to be on a mission and it gets better everyday. I miss home and I miss everyone, but as I throw myself into the Work, I forget that I am far from home. I know that the gospel of Jesus Christ has been restored to the Earth and that we all have the opportunity to return to our loving Heavenly Father. Reading the Book of Mormon has brought me so much joy and I am happy to share it with everyone around me. Keep the letters coming, please! I LOVE LETTERS! :)
